We know the winter months can be very hard on your curls so we wanted to give you a few tips to keep your curls hydrated and moisturized during the cold winter months. The dry air that we experience during the colder months definitely takes a toll on our curls. So don’t let your curls suffer follow our tips.

Winter Hair Care Tip #1 - Invest in a Good Deep Conditioner

As we enter the colder months you want to make sure your hair well-conditioned. This means investing in a good deep conditioner that will moisturize your hair and make sure you deep condition every 1-2 weeks this will keep your hair thoroughly conditioned.

Winter Hair Care Tip #2 - Get A Winter Trim

It is best to enter the winter with freshly trimmed curls as the harsh weather will most likely enhance your already split ends. So make sure to visit your local stylist and get a trim for those ends. You should typically get a trim every 10-12 weeks, that's about every 2 months.

Winter Hair Care Tip #3 - Do Styles That Last Longer

During the winter it’s best to keep your hands out of your hair, to avoid drying and split ends. So make sure to do styles that will last longer such as twist outs, braid outs or even investing in protective styles. This will help your curls thrive during those colder months.

Winter Hair Care Tip #4 - Use More Water Based Product

Using waterbased products will help keep your curls more moisturized especially when doing the L.O.C method. Make sure to find a leave-in that’s moisturizing and water-based so when styling your curls will stay moisturized.

Winter Hair Care Tip #5 - Use The L.O.C Method

The L.O.C. Method or Leave-In Oil Cream Method is a guide for how to apply your products to make sure your hair is moisturized and stays moisturized longer throughout your styles! This method is perfect for the curlies with high porosity hair who want to keep the moisture in.
